Today, the world lost a very good person. He was not famous or known by many, but those that knew him loved him. He lived a simple life and enjoyed every moment. He loved his friends and was very loyal to them. He had a hard time earlier in life, but corrected himself. It took years but he persisted and fought. I had the pleasure of meeting Vinny through my hockey buddy. I heard stories of him being the best one on the ice and like every hockey player had a little chip on his shoulder. He was the ultimate team player and would have your back during the game, Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to skate with him. His body has been worn down after years and was in constant pain. I met him on several occasions during MCCONY or WNY NORML events. He looked tough on the outside but he had a heart of gold on the inside. I remember him asking me a few months ago that he wanted to get involved with the cannabis movement. He was a recipient of the benefits of marijuana and it helped his pain. He didn't have a ton of money to contribute but what he did have was a big heart and passion. He wanted to help people. Unfortunately, his time was cut too short. What if he had more time? What if he had received mmj earlier? We will never know, but the time we have with each other is very precious. Vinny was a fighter and now he is not fighting the pain any longer. Thank you Vinny for coming into my life. I will always remember our strange, yet hilarious, conversations. Rest in peace until we see each other again my friend..
