Incidence:  In the United States alone, about 30,000 people have Huntington's Disease. In addition, 35,000 people exhibit some symptoms and 75,000 people carry the abnormal gene that will cause them to develop the disease. There is no cure for this fatal disease. (https://www.genome.gov/10001215)

Medical Cannabis Indication: Huntington's Disease

          Improves:  Chorea (Involuntary Movements), Pain, Spasticity, Anxiety,

                             Depression, Quality of Sleep         

Recommended cannabinoid ratios: 

                     low THC: high CBD (e.g. 1:20)

                     equal ratio THC: CBD (e.g. 1:1) 

                     high THC : low CBD (e.g. 20:1)

                 

Dosing:  

Go slow and start dosing low and titrate until desired results are achieved.

 (Combination of  the above products may be required).  THC doses greater than 10mg/dose not recommended

Other:  

Neuroprotective properties may slow progression of disease.

Cannabinoid replacement therapy may reduce symptoms and prolong survival.
