Incidence:  Each year, 50,000 people in the United States become infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Currently, there are an estimated 1.1 million people in the United States and 34 million people globally who are living with HIV infection. In 2011, 1.7 million people died from AIDS-related causes.

Medical Cannabis Indication:  HIV/AIDS

            Improves:   Pain, Nausea, Anxiety

Recommended cannabinoid ratios:  

                     equal ratio THC: CBD (e.g. 1:1) 

                     high THC : low CBD (e.g. 20:1)

Dosing:  

Go slow and start dosing low and titrate until desired results are achieved.

 (Combination of  the above products may be required).  THC doses greater than 10mg/dose not recommended

Other:  

Neuroprotective properties may slow progression of disease.

Cannabinoid replacement therapy may reduce symptoms and prolong survival.
