Incidence:  According to the Center for Disease Control (2014) 20.3 million adults have been diagnosed with cancer.  It is the #2 cause of death (>500,000 per year).  

Children: The National Institute of Health reports, In 2014, it is estimated that 15,780 children and adolescents ages 0 to 19 years will be diagnosed with cancer and 1,960 will die of the disease in the United States.   (NIH link) 

Medical Cannabis Indication: Cancer

          Improves:  Pain, Nausea, Anxiety

Recommended cannabinoid ratios: 

                    low THC: high CBD (e.g. 1:20)

                    equal ratio THC: CBD (e.g. 1:1) 

                     high THC : low CBD (e.g. 20:1)

Dosing:  

Go slow and start dosing low and titrate until desired results are achieved.

 (Combination of  the above products may be required).  THC doses greater than 10mg/dose not recommended

Other:  

Studies show promise with cannabinoids causing apoptosis (death) of cancer cells.

Neuroprotective properties may slow progression of disease.

Cannabinoid replacement therapy may reduce symptoms and prolong survival.
